Farmers Markets & Farm Days
Seven Hills Organic Farm is nestled in the Kerrie Valley in the Macedon Ranges Shire. The Murray family, own and run the farm using organic and biodynamic techniques. Our goal is for the farm to provide 100% of our daily meals – and to introduce people to some of the best and freshest produce available along the way.
We sell most of our produce at local farmers markets. You are welcome to come and visit us at the farm. We are having our first FARM DAY, on Sunday March 25th. We will be giving talks on the different enterprises on the farm, Josh will show everyone his chickens, Jess her flowers and house cow, Jack and Tamsyn, the fruit and vegetable gardens, and James, the Dorper sheep. We will be having lamb and other food from the garden, so booking is essential. We would love you to come and meet our family and our animals.

It took almost a year for us to find our farm, many weekends dragging the kids around, bribing them with visits to the local bakeries. The day after we gave up our search, and resigned ourselves to staying in Gisborne for a bit longer, we got an email. more »
I grow all my flowers on the farm and have a mix of varieties so I have them all year round. Dahlias are my favourite. more »
In early 2009 Mom asked me to take over the responsibility of looking after the hens. By June 2010 Mom and Dad realised that as I was doing all the work for the chickens, it would be better for me to run it as a business and be in charge of everything. In the beginning I sold my eggs to friends and then started knocking on the door of businesses in Gisborne. Dad has his office there so it seemed an easy place to start.
